We loved that this couple really wanted a personal and authentic experience for their guests. It was important to them that their guests feel “at home” as they celebrated their wedding day. We were able to help them create a relaxed, intimate, “homey” atmosphere, while maintaining elegance and beauty. Their historic downtown Salt Lake City venue, The Clubhouse SLC, with its elegant architecture and “home-like” feel, was the perfect setting for creating a space for them to gather in a natural, comfortable, celebration with their guests. The ceremony was held in the grand ballroom, with its beautiful windows & draperies as the backdrop. In honor of the brides’ Filipino heritage, they incorporated Arrhae into their ceremony, a wedding tradition wherein the groom presents the bride with 13 coins as a promise of a prosperous life together. Following the ceremony, they gathered with family, and special guests in the library for cocktails, providing an intimate moment with those closest to them before joining the remaining guests. In the reception space, groupings of lounge furniture added to the comfortable feel, and provided a space for guests to take a break and enjoy conversation. Additional personal details were woven throughout to share their story, and personalize their celebration. Each guest table had a postcard as it’s table number from their favorite national parks they’ve visited together. The groom is an avid board game collector, and they love playing them together, so each guest table had a game for guests to enjoy if they would like. The mountain wild flowers used in the bouquets & decor represent the brides Montana home, and a photo display of past generations of the couple’s family members on their wedding day tied the past to the present. The couple kicked off the dance party with a choreographed dance, and then each danced with people who were influential in their lives, in addition to their parents. Then the DJ turned up the party, and everyone joined in to dance the night away.
